How It Works

1. Free discovery call

We will meet via phone or in person so that you can ask any questions you might have and I can get better acquainted with you and your preferences for telling your story (e.g. areas of focus, ways of storytelling, etc.). We will also plan out the details (e.g. timeframe, location, etc.) that work for both of us.

2. Interview session(s)

Instead of providing prompts for you to fill out, I will meet with you in person to listen and capture your narrative. While I ask questions to help me grasp and reflect the essence of your life experiences, you will guide the direction of these stories. Telling your story can be a therapeutic process, and we will make space and time for inner thoughts and emotions as they come up.

3. Story creation & review

Once we've discovered your story, I'll begin working behind the scenes to present it in a way that is tailored to the service you've chosen (e.g. transcription, light editing, etc.).

4. Final delivery

After I've crafted some behind-the-scenes magic, the story will be ready for you to share in any way you wish.

Where does the interview process happen? Answer: We will discuss what location is best for you. I am located in Coldwater, ON and you are welcome to come to my studio. Otherwise, I can come to you provided you live anywhere within Simcoe County.

How long does the process take from the free discovery call to the final delivery? Answer: During the free discovery call, we will discuss a timeline based on the service you have requested. In general, a Memory Starter Session will take up to two weeks to complete. For all other services, we will decide together if one long interview or multiple interviews is the best format for you.
